Château de Cheverny

At 30 km from the campsite...
The Château de Cheverny is most likely one of the best known castles from the Loire region. It is known under another name though; the château de Moulinsart. The front, disconnected from the two side towers, was inspiration to captain Haddock’s home. It’s not very surprising this castle now holds a permanent exhibition dedicated to the most famous Belgian journalist. This 700 m² exhibition, organised in partnership with the Hergé Foundation, will take you through the world of Tintin and the castle of Moulinsart.
